GdS: Calhanoglu wants to renew but talks are on pause as Milan eye €30m replacement

Hakan Calhanoglu has decided that he wants to stay at AC Milan but talks over his renewal are on hold as the management eye a potential replacement.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Calhanoglu is very happy in Milan and for this reason he has long since decided that he wants to stay with the Rossoneri and renew his contract which expires on June 30.

Despite this, the paper reports that for for now his renewal is on standby, and the Rossoneri management are looking around in the event that they have to replace the 27-year-old. In the last few hours the name of Nikala Vlasic has emerged, a Croatian international who is currently at CSKA Moscow.

Vlasic is having an impressive season for the Russian club with 11 goals and 6 assists in 27 games across all competitions so far for the Moscow club, with his value rising to €30m as per Transfermarkt.
