Marco Giampaolo was left upset by the way his sacking was communicated to him by AC Milan, according to one journalist.

The Rossoneri officially announced their decision to dismiss Giampaolo on Tuesday evening after just 111 days in charge.
That represents the shortest reign of any Milan boss ever; a spell which saw him lost four of his first six games in charge and – despite a win over Genoa on Saturday – he failed to win back the fans or the board from there.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, Giampaolo was disappointed not so much about his sacking – which he views as part of the game – but the way that it was handled.
The message came via a phone call from sporting director Ricky Massara, 36 hours after the media had already got wind that the decision would be made.

Schira, among other sources, has reported that Milan are ready to announce Stefano Pioli as the new manager.
He will sign a two-year deal in the coming hours, valued at €1.5m per year, with a clause which means he could leave at the end of the first.
