GdS: Important opening arrives from Man Utd as Milan continue to negotiate over full-back

Manchester United appear to have finally opened to the idea of letting Diogo Dalot go out on loan again this season, a report claims.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the return of Dalot cannot be considered close yet but positive signs are finally coming from Manchester. After initially blocking the idea of letting the Portugal international leave again, United seem willing to let him leave again, but only on another dry loan.

This formula does not excite the Milan management too much as they want to include an option to buy this time around, but the opening of the Red Devils is certainly an excellent starting point. Now, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara can proceed in talks with more confidence that eventually a satisfactory outcome will be reached for all parties involved.

Dalot made 33 appearances for the Rossoneri last season, which helped him get on the radar of the Portuguese national team as he was called into the squad for the Euros to replace Joao Cancelo, who was Covid-positive.
