GdS: De Ketelaere pushing for move as agent meets Maldini in Milano

Charles De Ketelaere is pushing for a summer transfer and AC Milan appear to be in pole position for the playmaker. The Belgian’s agent was even present in Milano to meet the club, a report claims.

Having struggled with the No.10 role this past season, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are now working on bringing in a playmaker for Stefano Pioli. De Ketelaere has been heavily linked with them as of late and negotiations are ongoing.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), De Ketelaere’s agent was present in Milano yesterday where he met with the Rossoneri management. The €20m offer made recently was to gauge Club Brugge’s stance, knowing full well they would reject it.

A new offer will be made soon and it could include a series of bonuses to get closer to the €30m requested. Leeds United put that on the table but as opposed to the Botman situation, De Ketelaere only wants the Champions League.

Milan, therefore, remain the frontrunners in the race and an agreement could be reached relatively soon.
