According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Krunic knows that Fenerbahce want him badly and he is ‘flattered’ by the interest of the Turkish club where his close friend and compatriot Edin Dzeko has just headed.
The salary offered to him by Fenerbahce is three times higher than what Milan are currently paying him, as they would be willing to pay him almost €3.5m while his current contract nets him just over €1m per year.
However, the Istanbul club have made an offer to Milan for the transfer fee that is judged too low, which was around the €3-5m mark. To overcome the Rossoneri’s resistance they would have to triple that figure.
Only in this way would Fenerbahce reopen the dialogue, and if that offer were forthcoming Milan could spend it on two more midfielders.
