The goalkeeper has been out of action since September after picking up two calf injuries, one of which came just as he was getting ready to return. Milan have thus been very careful with his recovery, which is one of the reasons he was ruled out of the World Cup.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Maignan will be back at Milanello a few days before December 2nd, which is the date set for the resumption of training. The goal is to be back for the game against Salernitana on January 4th, as things stand.
It’s also possible that we could see the Frenchman in one of the December friendlies, with the Rossoneri taking on Arsenal, Liverpool and lastly PSV Eindhoven. Of course, there’s no reason to rush his recovery in any way.
