GdS: Milan begin RW search after Leao’s renewal – the names from Berardi to Sarr

Now that the renewal of Rafael Leao is officially over the line, the AC Milan management can turn their focus to finding an upgrade for the opposite flank.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, it is possible that Milan could sign Brahim Diaz permanently and shift him to the right side, where he has arguably played his best football this season.

After three years on loan Milan want to extend Brahim’s stay and sign him outright, but the departure of Marco Asensio towards PSG means he could be called back to the Spanish capital, and that an offer of €20-22m could be needed by the Rossoneri to tempt Los Blancos.

If Brahim’s stay were off the table then Milan could turn to Domenico Berardi, who has regularly scored double figures in league goals over the past few seasons, which means he has an asking price of €30m.

Two other names mentioned by the paper are Reiss Nelson of Arsenal whose contract runs out at the end of the month plus Ismaila Sarr of Watford (expiring 2024).
