GdS: Milan still have Chelsea forward on list but want initial loan deal

As we enter the final week of the transfer window, AC Milan are on the lookout for an opportunity to potentially strengthen the striker role.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) today, Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike is the name in pole position for Milan at the moment, but Armando Broja of Chelsea is very much a valid alternative.

The Albania international has scored 21 goals in 91 professional games across spells with Chelsea, Vitesse and Southampton and he has been linked with a move to Milan in the past, showing he is a name Geoffrey Moncada in particular likes.

However, the paper also mentions that Chelsea seem less willing than PSG to open a negotiation on the basis of a loan operation for Broja.

Milan, after having paid €36m to the Blues for the signings of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic, are looking for an initial loan, perhaps with option to buy.
