La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes this morning Leao wants to be there at all costs tomorrow night in the second leg of the Champions League Euroderby and unless there are late surprises, he will be there.
The Portuguese winger sustained a muscle problem in the league game against Lazio but he returned to group training yesterday, doing everything but the final training game as a precaution, meanining there is confidence and optimism that he will start.
This afternoon’s final session at Milanello will be decisive and will tell not only if Leao will be called up by Stefano Pioli, but also if he will be able to play from the first minute. We need to wait a few more hours, but with this being the most important couple of weeks of the season having him back would be a huge boost.
Everyone is anxiously awaiting Leao’s recovery, as well as the Milan fans who showed up en masse outside Milanello yesterday to give the team further energy in view of tomorrow night’s Euroderby, when a real feat is needed to overturn the two-goal deficit.
