According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) this morning, the management are big admirers of Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze, who is expected to be sold before the start of next season given his deal runs out in June 2024.
Milan are interested in Chukwueze, but the problem is that there is strong competition for the 24-year-old after a season in which he scored 13 goals and added 11 assists in 50 games for Villarreal across all competitions.
As a result, his asking price could well be over €30m with the risk of an auction starting. A new meeting between Milan and Chukwueze’s agents is possible in the next few days, with the hope that the new management can sell the project to the Nigeria international.
