GdS: Milan may sell prized asset to raise funds – Real Madrid and Chelsea offer €8m-a-year

AC Milan are considering selling Gianluigi Donnarumma in order to raise funds and fix their balance sheet, according to a report.

It has been well documented recently that the Rossoneri are not in the best of health financially, and that a renewal for Donnarumma – whose deal expires at the end of next season – will be very difficult due to his salary demands.

A number of different clubs have been linked with the 21-year-old, most seriously Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, however La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira has provided a key update.

He claims that Milan could sell their prized young asset in the summer in order to make a pure capital gain, with Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea having already told Mino Raiola that they will pay Donnarumma €8m-a-year.

This represents a rise on his current €6m salary and is a figure the Rossoneri almost certainly cannot match – especially given Elliott Manangement’s intent to cut the wage bill.

Schira adds that rivals Juventus are observing the situation closely but they have not yet made an offer.
