Milan have purchased the SportLifeCity project in the San Francesco area, which lies within San Donato, and this is a huge step forward for the Rossoneri. They want to make a ‘red and black citadel’, with much more than just a stadium.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), between the legal process and the construction, Milan are aiming to have the new stadium ready for the 2028-29 season. They will remain at San Siro for many more years, in other words, which is good for the fans who still haven’t been at the stadium.

Inter are also expected to say goodbye to the San Siro area, currently exploring the Rozzano area. San Siro will be hit with a historical constraint next year and that will make a demolition illegal. The question is what the stadium will be used for when the clubs are gone.
