GdS: Milan want their new stadium to be ready by 2028 – the situation

AC Milan are currently working on their stadium project, having more or less decided to focus on the San Donato option, and the legal process is in full swing. However, the construction will take some time.

Milan have purchased the SportLifeCity project in the San Francesco area, which lies within San Donato, and this is a huge step forward for the Rossoneri. They want to make a ‘red and black citadel’, with much more than just a stadium.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), between the legal process and the construction, Milan are aiming to have the new stadium ready for the 2028-29 season. They will remain at San Siro for many more years, in other words, which is good for the fans who still haven’t been at the stadium.

Inter are also expected to say goodbye to the San Siro area, currently exploring the Rozzano area. San Siro will be hit with a historical constraint next year and that will make a demolition illegal. The question is what the stadium will be used for when the clubs are gone.

    1. You obviously have NO IDE how these things function! How do you think Barca is practically building a new Camp Nou, with a debt that’s x4 of the one of Inter?!

  1. why are you talking about money to build a stadium in inter’s case, the process just begun, so is a huge step forward for italian footbll and joy to the fans around the world. so stop the comparison.

  2. Let the government use San Siro as they wish… It’s their loss. The maintenance cost is too big to handle without any club playing in the stadium and pay the rent.

  3. I understand the reasons for new stadium such as extra revenue and whatnot but its still very sad to see it eventually go, would’ve hoped for a madrid type project where renovations on san siro could happen without us ever having to leave while eventually having bigger san siro with same historical meaning

  4. Owning our stadium will be a game changer for us. Can’t wait. Hopefully by then Saudi’s aren’t gonna own every single player.

    FORZA MILAN ⚫️🔴
