GdS: Milan player ratings for the 2021-22 season – seven players get 9 or above

AC Milan did what many thought was unachievable by winning the Scudetto this season, and it was thanks to both a collective effort and the excellence of individuals.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanPosts) have published player ratings but not from just the win against Sassuolo yet rather the season as a whole, which was worth of a 10 out of 10, the same score that Pioli got.

They start the assessments of the squad with Mike Maignan who gets a 9.5 for his effort in keeping the goal guarded phenomenally, while Theo Hernandez got the same score for his work at both ends of the field.

Olivier Giroud received a score of 9 for the crucial goals that he scored and Pierre Kalulu got the same mark for stepping up in an extraordinary way amid an injury crisis, seizing a spot and never letting go. Rafael Leao and Sandro Tonali each got a 9.5 as the stand out young performers in the team.

Fikayo Tomori received a 9 from the paper, while Davide Calabria gets an 8.5. Franck Kessie and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were worthy of an 8, while Alexis Saelemaekers, Ismael Bennacer, Brahim Diaz, Junior Messias, Alessandro Florenzi and Simon Kjaer received a 7.5.

Alessio Romagnoli, Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic got a 7, Samu Castillejo got a 6.5 and finally Fode Ballo-Toure, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Daniel Maldini received a 6.
