GdS: Milan seek double agreement after choosing Chelsea man as No.1 midfield target

It seems that AC Milan have chosen Ruben Loftus-Cheek as the man they want to strengthen the midfield, and now a double agreement is being sought.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) this morning, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work to try to close Loftus-Cheek’s arrival as quickly as possible, talking with his agents and with Chelsea simultaneously.

With Ismaël Bennacer out until the end of the year, Stefano Pioli needs another player for the midfield and thinks the Englishman is ideal in being able to play either in the double pivot or as a box-to-box player.

Loftus-Cheek would gladly join Milan, and talks with Chelsea are alive and have intensified in the last few hours. The Rossoneri hope to strike a deal with the player on his salary and the duration of the contract and then with the Blues on transfer fee.

The London club want €25m to sell despite the fact he has just over a year left on his deal. Meanwhile, Devis Vásquez is expected to depart after just six months at the club to free a non-EU spot that Loftus-Cheek would need, given Daichi Kamada’s imminent arrival too.
