GdS: Milan target signing of two strikers and two midfielders – the names

The AC Milan management have a lot of work to do in the summer transfer window and they have a couple of moves in mind for the midfield and attack, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) mentions some specific names in terms of the hunt to reinforce the team down the middle, more specifically Daichi Kamada and Davide Frattesi.

The directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara believe that Kamada could be the ideal man to play as the central attacking midfielder given that he offers good numbers in terms of goal contributions but also balance thanks to his work rate.

This year he has 16 goals with Eintracht Frankfurt and the advantage is that he would arrive on a free transfer and a low-cost salary.

On the other hand, the Sassuolo midfielder Frattesi would also be a player that offers guarantees in both phases, and he could serve as the link between defence and attack.

Competition in Italy and abroad seems to be stiff but Milan do not want to take part in auctions even if their interest remains. He could leave for around €20m this summer, as per the paper.

One of the Milan management’s summer priorities remains to bolster the attacking department too, and Lois Openda seems to be top of the list. The 23-year-old has had a great season with RC Lens in Ligue 1 having netted 19 goals.

The player’s agent is aware of the Rossoneri’s interest but at the same time he is fielding calls from other European clubs, with Borussia Dortmund also having set their sights on the Belgian striker, who would cost €25m.

The possible arrival of Openda would not close the doors to a signing like Marko Arnautovic, who could come on a low-cost deal and replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
