The Rossoneri are looking for a quality player to reinforce the attacking trio and De Ketelaere is their No.1 target. The youngster, aged 21, can play both to the right and also in the centre, which is a huge bonus for Stefano Pioli.
In the last few days, the negotiations seemingly slowed down between the clubs and there is a good reason for that. As per Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan have agreed to wait until after the Belgian Supercup (taking place tonight), but then they will attack.
Leeds United came in with a €37m offer a while back but De Ketelaere made his presence clear then: he wants Milan. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will table a new offer for Brugge tomorrow, per the report, which will be worth almost €35m including bonuses.
De Ketelaere will receive a salary of €2-2.5m per season which is more than double what he currently earns (€1m). The new offer should be the decisive one, seeing as the player is pushing for Milan and Brugge will make a good profit at €35m. Tomorrow, therefore, could be a hot day.
