GdS: Pioli handed boost by Chukwueze and Okafor – the attacking solutions

AC Milan will be back at Milanello tomorrow for the resumption of the pre-season. Samuel Chukwueze will meet his teammates for the first time, and Noah Okafor will also be more active, which is a boost for Stefano Pioli.

Milan struggled to find the back of the net in open play during their pre-season tour in the United States, with their only goal from open play scored by Luka Romero. Thankfully, Pioli has been given an attacking boost.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), the manager will be able to count on the addition of Samuel Chukwuexze. He has been training alone at Milanello but will meet his teammates for the first time tomorrow.

Noah Okafor, who was with the team in the States, didn’t feature because of recently recovering from an injury but he will be more active in the coming weeks. Pioli, as such, will have more solutions in attack.

The newspaper gave three examples of how this could look in practice, deploying either a 4-3-3, a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-1-2. Chukwueze is in all of them, while Okafor is in the latter and also remains a deputy for the other two.
