As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Stefano Pioli will rely on his certainties on the pitch. One of these is Simon Kjaer, who will be called upon to steady the Rossoneri’s rearguard which has struggled so far this season.

Despite his age and the long recovery from injury, the numbers speak very clearly: with the Dane on the pitch Milan have conceded an average of 0.2 goals per game, and without him the average rises to 1.1.

In midfield, Ismael Bennacer will also return from the first minute after his absence in Turin raised some question marks. His pairing with Sandro Tonali is Milan’s strongest, and the Italian midfielder seems to benefit from the presence of the Algerian.

Rafael Leao will keep his spot after a bad game against Torino in which he missed two big chances at the start before being unable to recover psychologically and being substituted at half-time.

Leao wants to redeem himself without a doubt and to do so in the best possible way Pioli will put Olivier Giroud by his side, with whom he has a solid understanding. The Frenchman played only the last few minutes in Turin and will be exploited both for his great experience and for his innate ability to always score decisive goals
