GdS: Probable XIs for Lazio vs. Milan – one doubt remains to be resolved

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli seems to have settled on the team that will take to the field against Lazio tonight, but there is just one fitness doubt to resolve.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) this morning, the one question mark that remains to be resolved is whether Theo Hernandez is fit enough to start at left-back given he took a knock on the foot during training.

The paper has him down as a 70% chance of starting, and if not then Davide Calabria will come in at right-back with Alessandro Florenzi switching flanks. Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw complete the back four in front of Mike Maignan.

Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer are expected to keep their places in the double pivot with Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing in a more advanced role again.

Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao will occupy the right and left wing positions respectively, with Olivier Giroud leading the line given that his alternative Luka Jovic will serve the second of a two-game suspension.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Gabbia, Hernandez; Bennacer, Adli; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Lazio XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Gila, Romagnoli, Hysaj; Luis Alberto, Cataldi, Guendouzi; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.
