After wins against Lemine Almenno, Milan registered their first defeat of their preseason campaign on Saturday as Zalaegerszegi TE scored three goals in the first 26 minutes and thus put the clash to bed. The Rossoneri at least got on the scoresheet thanks to Giroud and Krunic, but the dismal first half display was quite worrying and a response is needed tonight.

It must be noted that each of Milan’s last two opponents have been further along in their preparations for the new season given that Serie A doesn’t start until mid-August, and therefore were in but better shape for the game, but nonetheless it is proof that there is plenty for Stefano Pioli to work on.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli is likely to field a first choice defence of Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori and Theo Hernandez ahead of Maignan, with Bennacer and Krunic the double pivot and Saelemaekers, Adli and Leao behind Rebic as the striker.
