GdS: Real Madrid ready to welcome back Brahim Diaz with Milan farewell confirmed

Brahim Diaz has played his last game for AC Milan as he will return to Real Madrid after his three years on loan at the club, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) are among the sources to confirm that Brahim Díaz will leave Milan and go back to Real Madrid after three seasons with the Rossoneri, having originally joined in the summer of 2020.

This despite the fact that the playmaker was very much appreciated by the Milan head coach Stefano Pioli, who recently said in a press conference on Brahim ‘is a complete player with personality’ and that ‘it is a pleasure to work with him’.

Real Madrid however have decided to bring him back to the Spanish capital, while Florentino Pérez will renew the contract of the former Manchester City man until 30 June 2027 and will include him in the squad on a permanent basis.

Los Blancos see him as the ideal piece to fill the void left by Marco Asensio, who has decided not to extend his deal and will instead join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said farewell on Sunday night but there was no chance for Brahim Díaz to do the same to the fans, even though it was rumoured he could be leaving.

Diaz’s time with Milan will end with 124 games, 18 goals, 15 assists and a Scudetto to his name.
