There have been rumours suggesting AC Milan could decide to sell Ante Rebic but he is still useful to the cause for two reasons, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the 28-year-old Croatian still has many admirers in Europe despite the fact he didn’t have the best of seasons. His agent would not have a problem in finding accommodation for his client, but he remains a precious wild card to Milan.
The problems last season were of a physical nature as Rebic missed 12 games in Serie A plus 4 in the Champions League, with muscle trouble and a chronic tendonitis in his knee limited his availability.
However, versatility is one of the key reasons he remains useful to Milan given that he can play as a left winger to give Rafael Leao some time off and against certain types of opponents Rebic also knows how to be useful as a centre-forward with his movement.
Rebic only closed the season with 2 goals and 2 assists to his credit in the league, but he was good at finding a way to assert himself on the game off the bench, bringing freshness and dynamism when he was called into question. His work rate and pressing causes problems for opponents, as seen when he won the ball before Sandro Tonali’s last minute winner against Lazio.
