De Ketelaere has had an up and down start to life at Milan on the field as after a more than convincing debut in the league, he has not quite been as involved as he would like recently including in the Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Pioli is thinking of letting the Belgian get some rest and recover his sharpness, so Brahim Diaz is the most likely to start in the playmaker role against Sampdoria on Saturday.

That will give De Ketelaere the opportunity to clear his mind and recover some energy in view of the next European match against Dinamo Zagreb at San Siro.

However, the acclimatisation process for the 21-year-old is proceeding well as admitted by De Ketelaere himself to his friends, as the paper claims he told them: “I already have the feeling of being at home.”
