With Zlatan Ibrahimovic still training alone and Marko Lazetic not ready to be deployed yet, Stefano Pioli has been asking Olivier Giroud to work overtime.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports how Giroud has been carrying the entire weight of the Milan attack on his shoulders since the Achilles injury sustained by Ibrahimovic in the match against Juventus on 23 January, with a derby brace and a double against Lazio in the Coppa Italia being the highlights of a good run at San Siro.

However, he failed to score against Sampdoria at home and then was somewhat ineffective with little service against Salernitana. There is the worry that the former Arsenal and Chelsea striker could become overused, and that is why changes for the game against Udinese should not be ruled out.

Rafael Leao now plays permanently on the left wing, Zlatan will certainly not be ready to return in three days and Lazetic is currently working alone too, so the idea of using Rebic remains given he looks to be finding his shooting boots against after physical problems. At the moment he is the best alternative solution in the centre-forward position.
