Matteo Moretto has confirmed that Olivier Glasner has a ‘good chance’ of becoming the new head coach of AC Milan.

Two weeks on from the managerial clean-out that took place after the final game of 2025-26, Milan have still not made any hires to fill the vacancies. It seems that the bulk of talks have been with Glasner and Ralf Rangnick, the latter being the main option to take over as technical director.
However, given that we are now on June 8 and time is ticking by quickly, decisions are needed soon. There has been speculation about Feyenoord approaching Glasner after sacking Robin van Persie, which makes things more urgent for Milan.
Glasner the ‘hottest trail’
Matteo Moretto provided an update on his YouTube channel in which he confirmed new talks with Rangnick took place over the weekend, and also added a bit about Glasner. His words are via MilanNews.
“Glasner is one of Rangnick’s top names. This is the most popular combination at the moment . Glasner has given Milan top priority, he knows he has a good chance of becoming the new Rossoneri coach and therefore everything else takes a back seat,” he said.
“Both Planes and Pochettino’s last contacts with Milan date back to the beginning of last week. In the next few hours, Milan will also contact other coaches, but at the moment the hottest trail is the one that leads to Glasner.”
