AC Milan and Inter will net a nice amount from playing in the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia next month, a report claims.
FcInter1908 (via Calciomercato.com) report that the two Milan clubs will not collect the usual payment of €6.25m each for being in the Supercoppa final but instead the contract provides for a bonus payment due to their size and standing.
In fact, there will be an extra €1.25m given to the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri because they are two ‘top clubs’ competing for the trophy. The top clubs have been set as Inter, Milan, Juventus and Roma.
This means that had Lazio or Atalanta reached the final of the competition, for example, they would have just received the base amount of €6.25m. It is a nice windfall for the clubs, with the game set to be played on Wednesday 18 January at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
