Ibrahimovic ‘curious’ about acting in the future: “Something that gives me adrenaline”

At the age of 40, it’s isn’t exactly a surprise that Zlatan Ibrahimovic might not have many years left of his playing career. He has the World Cup in sight, though, and that most likely means he will play for at least one more season.

Sweden will face the Czech Republic in the semi-finals of the World Cup qualifiers in March and will then face Russia or Poland in the final, should they make it through. Their potential success could end up deciding Ibrahimovic’s future.

In an interview with Radio 105, which you can read in full here, Ibrahimovic was asked about the future and what he plans to do after his playing career. He stated that one thing that had made him curious is becoming an actor.

“I have faith in everything I’m doing. How far I will go, I can’t tell, but I always try to go beyond the limit. Why be normal when you can be stronger? For the future, we will see. I’m curious about certain things: for example, to become an actor… Something that gives me adrenaline,” he stated.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ibrahimovic but it’s clear that he won’t just sit around once he has hung up his boots. Perhaps without football, he needs the adrenaline even more.
