After a long and exhausting negotiation with Club Brugge, it seems as though Milan finally have their man and De Ketelaere could soon fly to Italy to undergo his medical and sign a contract with the Rossoneri.

The player’s agent Tom de Mul took the role the mediator in a very tough negotiation, with Brugge holding out for as long as possible in their €35m demands, and it has now been revealed that the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was also a factor.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via SempreMilan.it), De Mul is a former team-mate of Ibrahimovic and he got back in touch with the Swede through mutual friends to ‘recommend’ that he take the boy under his protective wing, in order to make his adaptation at Milan as smooth as possible.
