Alessio Romagnoli’s contract with AC Milan will expire at the end of the season and it looks like he will leave the club. He’s no longer a starter in the team and the interest of his boyhood club Lazio is tempting.

Lazio are expected to part ways with some of their centre-backs this summer (Acerbi and Luiz Felipe) and thus need to bring in a new starter. Romagnoli, as said, is a boyhood Biancocelesti fan and now could be the time.
According to Il Tempo, as cited by TMW, Lazio had a meeting with Romagnoli’s agents last week and an offer was put on the table, close to the €3.5m per year request of the defender. Next week, there will be a new meeting.
Lazio want to close the free transfer after the game against Milan, which is scheduled for Sunday next week. It seems that the parties are close to reaching an agreement, in other words, and the captain’s exit is getting closer.
