CorSera: Inter’s slip-up hands Milan first place – Pioli’s men must keep their heads

AC Milan needed a slip-up from Inter to be back in charge of their own title fate, and they got one last night as Bologna beat Simone Inzaghi’s men 2-1.

Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes how the Rossoblu’s comeback win over Inter handed Milan outright first place in the table with four games to go, keeping everything open, so it is right to be a bit happier today but there is still no margin for error.

The Rossoneri are first in the standings, two points ahead of Inter, and there is undoubtedly a great euphoria after last night’s result. However, what matters most is that Pioli and his squad remain focused and down-to-earth especially after the last minute win in Lazio and the Nerazzurri’s defeat.

What we now know is that the title race is full of many twists and turns, and the cards have been shuffled many times. The last four games will see Milan play against difficult and historically dangerous opponents such as Fiorentina, Verona, Atalanta and Sassuolo. Meanwhile, the takeover must not be a distraction.
