Bologna FC v FC Internazionale - Serie A

CorSera: Inter’s slip-up hands Milan first place – Pioli’s men must keep their heads

AC Milan needed a slip-up from Inter to be back in charge of their own title fate, and they got one last night as Bologna beat Simone Inzaghi’s men 2-1.

Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes how the Rossoblu’s comeback win over Inter handed Milan outright first place in the table with four games to go, keeping everything open, so it is right to be a bit happier today but there is still no margin for error.

The Rossoneri are first in the standings, two points ahead of Inter, and there is undoubtedly a great euphoria after last night’s result. However, what matters most is that Pioli and his squad remain focused and down-to-earth especially after the last minute win in Lazio and the Nerazzurri’s defeat.

What we now know is that the title race is full of many twists and turns, and the cards have been shuffled many times. The last four games will see Milan play against difficult and historically dangerous opponents such as Fiorentina, Verona, Atalanta and Sassuolo. Meanwhile, the takeover must not be a distraction.

  1. It’s up to Pioli now.
He should step up and focus the player’s mindset on winning the 4 games.
The key game is the one against Fiorentina.
Winning Fiorentina at 16:00 will give great pressure to Inter against Udinese at 19:00.
    MUST WIN.

  2. Just like last season, from 4th place to 2nd place had to wait until the last game, which on paper will be very difficult because against Atalanta who are in 2nd position and are on fire.
Milan is famous for making things difficult for himself. Hopefully this season will be different.

  3. Hopefully we will win all the remaining games but even if we only win 3 of them and draw one then we will also win serie a due to the fact that we are best in this seasons fixtures between us and inter.

  4. Well iam speechless NW but with faith and hard working we will fly high above everyone that remained regardless the name u guys mentioned ed thanks Milan all d Best Milanese
