Italian media full of praise after Kalulu’s shift to right-back: “Something else”

Over the last four months Pierre Kalulu has become a certainty for AC Milan no matter what position he has played in, and that continued last night.

SempreMilan.it report how Kalulu is growing game after game and is showing all his worth. Often used as a makeshift or supporting player before, the Frenchman is showing off his crazy potential that allows him to play with such tranquility both at right-back and centre-back.

Against Genoa he was decisive in the attacking phase too as he got an assists with a masterful cross to Rafael Leao at the far post, helping break the deadlock inside 11 minutes.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reflected on his performance: “The last minute absence of Calabria brings him back to the wing: on the 1-0 cross he uses the compass and reminds us that the job of a centre-back is just a great fall back.”

Tuttosport praised his performance: “He moves to the right and the performance is still something else. Leao’s cross for 1-0 is a treat. With the exit of Gabbia he returns to the centre.”

Finally, the Corriere remarked: “Moved to the right after Calabria’s absence, he produces a beautiful assist for Leao’s advantage.”
