This has not really been Jashari’s season on the face of it. However, when you look at the actual events of the year, it was never going to be. Luka Modric’s arrival meant that playing time was always going to be limited and a three-month injury did not help his chances either.
Despite that, the Swiss man has never kicked up a fuss. Instead, he has waited patiently for game time and when it has arrived, he has been pretty decent. Now, he needs to be more with Modric unavailable.
Jashari handed the keys
As Tuttosport writes, Jashari’s chance has arrived due to unfortunate circumstances. However, he has been handed the keys to the midfield with Allegri’s trust and he is ready to drive the team towards a strong finish.
After paying €34m for him, the club haven’t yet seen his best and with a string of games, he may be able to show a portion of what made the Rossoneri invest heavily.
Indeed, he has the support of both Allegri and the club, as was proven during today’s press conference. He will also feel support from Modric, who will be at Milanello regularly to give his student (and his other teammates) tips.
Indeed, it is Jashari’s time now and he is ready to take control.
