Journalist claims winger wants Real Madrid deal but Milan are ‘the only proposal that interests’

If winger Lucas Vazquez does not renew his contract with Real Madrid then he will almost certainly join AC Milan, a report claims.

Spanish newspaper AS (via MilanNews) reported earlier today that Vazquez has refused an offer from Atletico Madrid because he only has eyes for a new adventure in Italy, if he were to not renew with Real Madrid.

The Spanish winger is enticed by the idea of a move to Milan, who presented him with a more serious offer and who insisted more on landing him, however at the moment a renewal seems the most likely as Los Blancos have raised their offer from €3.5m net per season to €5m.

Only if the negotiation broke down would the former Espanyol loanee decide to join Milan as per the source. Now, AS journalist Juan Jimenez has spoken to MilanNews about the possibility that Vazquez could join the Rossoneri.

“I don’t know exactly what the relationship between Milan and Real Madrid is: I think it’s good after the Brahim Diaz affair, even if I don’t know it’s ruined with the Super League issue,” he said.

“Lucas Vazquez would like to renew with Real Madrid, he will wait for Real until the last moment. We do not know if the offer we are talking about is concrete or not, but certainly the only proposal that interests the player is that of Milan; Atletico also made him a proposal but was refused. He suffered an injury against Barcelona and will certainly not return this season.”
