According to Dutch journalist Pierre Pêcheur who covers AZ Alkmaar, the negotiation between Milan and the Eredivisie side over a deal for Reijnders is in the ‘final phase’.

The 24-year-old Dutchman is expected to sign ‘a five-year contract with Milan’ while AZ will receive around €18m for the midfielder, possibly supplemented with bonuses.

While waiting for more sources to confirm the news, it seems Milan are moving forward to try and sign a versatile and talented midfielder, who can play either in a pivot, as a box-to-box player or even as a playmaker.

Last season with AZ he racked up 54 appearances across all competitions which is a very high number, registering seven goals and 12 assists in the process too showing that he is capable of contributing in the attacking phase.
