Kjaer urges everyone to follow instructions; praises UEFA for postponing Euros

Earlier today, it was announced by UEFA that the Euros have been postponed until the summer of 2021. Speaking to the Danish outlet TV2, Simon Kjaer shared his thoughts on the decision and the current situation.

Of course, given the Coronavirus crisis, the announcement was expected. Most likely, this will allow the leagues to finish their respective season in the summer. Kjaer, who captains the Danish side, said it was ‘the only right decision’.

“UEFA have made the only right decision, and we in the [Danish] national team fully support it,” he began.

The defender was also asked about his personal situation, living in northern Italy where things are far from good. Luckily, the quarantine and the instructions from the government have kept the Rossoneri players safe thus far.

“Here in northern Italy I can see how serious it is and I can only think of one thing, and that is to wish everyone the best. I hope everyone thinks about the full picture and doesn’t expose anyone to the danger of infection.

“We must all follow the instructions of the government, authorities and official experts. There are people who work at face pace to save people and society. Stay indoors and just do what you are told,” he concluded.

It remains to be seen when Milan will be back in action again, although the current plan suggests that it could be in early May. However, it’s still too early to say if this can be the case.
