AC Milan midfielder Rade Krunic has revealed that he ‘cried’ after signing for the club last summer, as well as giving an update on his fitness.

The Bosnia international joined from Empoli last summer and has played nine Serie A games for the Rossoneri this season so far. However, he has been out with a broken foot since the beginning of February, though it seems his recovery is almost done.
Krunic spoke during a Q&A with fans on a Milan’s official Instagram, beginning by discussing his comeback from injury, and his comments were transcribed by MilanNews.
“I feel fine now. It’s a month since I have been without pain in my foot. When we resume, I’m ready,” he said.
“I hope we can restart the training sessions on May 4 and then resume the championship as soon as possible. I can’t wait to start playing again.”
Krunic also made a shock revelation about his reaction to joining the club.
“I cried when I signed my contract with Milan and I was sure I’d go to the Rossoneri. The fans are extraordinary and it’s always emotional to play at San Siro. They appreciate that I always give my best.
“We are Milan and we need to have big ambitions, like Europe. We will give everything to arrive.”
Interestingly, Krunic was part of a double raid on Empoli that summer as the Diavolo also completed the signing of Algeria international Ismael Bennacer on a five-year deal, and reports circulating in the media suggest the Tuscan club have yet another player who the Rossoneri like in Samuele Ricci.
