Good things come in twos for Rafael Leao it seems, who celebrated the birth of twin boys recently and announced it after scoring twice against Cagliari.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport recall, Leao said in the summer that he would become a father and it happened in the past few weeks. He and his mother preferred not to announce the news on social media until after the match against Cagliari.
Leao posted a very clear Instagram story: a baby bottle and two letters, L and T. They are the initials of Leonardo and Tiago, his first children, twin boys born a few weeks ago.
The winger announced it in an interview with La Gazzetta at the beginning of August: “I will become a father soon, father of twins. They should be born in November. We will call them Rodrigo and Tiago.”

A couple of things have changed since that day. The name of one of the children is one, given Leonardo was chosen, not Rodrigo. The birth date is the other: Rafa’s children were born early, a few weeks ago, as sometimes happens with twins.
This is also why Leao – and Rodrigo and Tiago’s mother – have chosen not to make the birth public, a choice in line with Rafa’s habits, who posts many images on Instagram but almost never reveals details of his private life.
