Indeed, Leao has also decided to take centre stage on the field, albeit in a negative way. Shortly before half-time in the match between Portugal and Chile, Leao was sent off following a brawl he was involved in.
More specifically, the winger was given his marching orders for slapping Chilean defender Ivan Ramiro Roman in the face, who was himself sent off for sparking an altercation that was highly avoidable.
Given the importance of the match (or lack thereof) given that it is a World Cup warm-up game, it is a questionable brawl. It is Leao’s second red card of his career, the first straight red.
