Libero: Juventus offered midfielder-for-defender swap deal to Milan – the response

Juventus put forward a swap deal to AC Milan that involved a midfielder going one way and a defender going the other, according to a report.

According to today’s edition of Libero (via TuttoJuve), Juve have offered Weston McKennie to Milan in exchange for Pierre Kalulu, with the hope that Gerry Cardinale might be tempted by the idea of welcoming the USA international.

McKennie has just returned from an unsuccessful loan spell with Leeds United where he failed to convince as the West Yorkshire club were relegated to the Championship.

Meanwhile, Kalulu has been linked with an exit over the past few weeks by some not very credible sources. Despite this, the response from the Milan management to the swap deal hypothesises was not a positive one and they do not seem interested.

Kalulu made 34 league appearances for the Rossoneri last season scoring one goal against Roma, while McKennie played 15 times for Juve before the World Cup break and then 19 times for Leeds in the Premier League in the second half of the season.
