At the tail end of 2024, when Paulo Fonseca was still in charge, the manager had asked Milan to attempt to sign Bouaddi. However, he parted ways with the Rossoneri about a month later and the idea was put on hold.
It re-emerged for the 2025 summer window, as well as the 2026 winter window, but once again things never got concrete enough. It’s something that the Rossoneri might have some regrets about when looking at the player today.
Too late for Milan
Yesterday, the Lille midfielder played from start in Morocco’s World Cup opener against Brazil, which finished 1-1. In other words, he’s now getting attention at the biggest stages of them all and as a result, his price tag will inevitably increase.
According to Daniele Longo, Lille are expected to ask for €60-70m for their 18-year-old if any club comes knocking this summer. These are figures that Milan certainly won’t be able to pay, so their chances of signing Bouaddi have well and truly passed.
