Alfredo Pedulla reports how the negotiations began in September and have been in full swing for a couple of months. There will be a meeting between Lazio and the central defender’s entourage after numerous contacts in recent weeks and it should be held immediately after Easter.
The news is that Claudio Lotito will also be there and the details will begin to be discussed, with Lazio starting their proposal from a base of €3.2-3.3m net per season plus bonuses. Maurizio Sarri has given the green light to the signing, given that Luiz Felipe and Francesco Acerbi are expected to leave on free transfers.
Romagnoli is a boyhood Lazio fan despite his Roma past which certainly helps negotiations, while it seems Milan are not desperate to match the offer given their pursuit of Sven Botman.
