Pedulla: Lotito to be present as Lazio schedule meeting with Milan defender to close deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Lazio will deepen negotiations over the signing of Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer after Easter, according to a report.

Alfredo Pedulla reports how the negotiations began in September and have been in full swing for a couple of months. There will be a meeting between Lazio and the central defender’s entourage after numerous contacts in recent weeks and it should be held immediately after Easter.

The news is that Claudio Lotito will also be there and the details will begin to be discussed, with Lazio starting their proposal from a base of €3.2-3.3m net per season plus bonuses. Maurizio Sarri has given the green light to the signing, given that Luiz Felipe and Francesco Acerbi are expected to leave on free transfers.

Romagnoli is a boyhood Lazio fan despite his Roma past which certainly helps negotiations, while it seems Milan are not desperate to match the offer given their pursuit of Sven Botman.

  1. It is good for his career get starting spot at Lazio. He is already falling behind kalulu this season and next season starter are botman – Tomori. For AC Milan get rid of his salary 6m euro nett/ year are good to free some salary for new player. It is win win solution for both AC Milan and romagnoli
