As is claimed by a report from Libero Quotidiano (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri coach did not need to have Theo Hernandez and Alessandro Florenzi consistently swapping positions during the 3-2 defeat against La Dea, which seemed to be a tactical decision.

It is no secret that Pioli is having to deal with a lot of injuries this season which means he is not able to land on the perfect formula, but the report suggests he could have found more consistency even under these circumstances.

With Fikayo Tomori the only fit centre-back at the club, choosing a back four has not been easy and it showed against Atalanta.

The pressure seems to be mounting on the coach and another poor display against Newcastle on Wednesday night could prove fatal.
