CM.it: Maldini pushing to beat competition from Inter and Napoli for Udinese forward

Another report has emerged claiming that AC Milan are interested in signing Beto from Udinese this summer, and the striker has responded to the rumours himself.

Despite the renewal of Olivier Giroud, Calciomercato.it report that Milan are looking to sign another striker during the summer window and Paolo Maldini and the management are moving in a concrete way to try beat the competition from Inter and Napoli for Beto.

The Portuguese striker has been with Udinese since 2021 and has scored 20 goals in total, 9 of which came in the current season. Udinese paid €7m to sign him from Portimense after an initial loan, and now they could ask for three times as much to sell.

Last January some English clubs came forward and showed interest, Everton above all, without however finding an agreement with the Friulians.

Beto also responded to the rumours when interviewed by TV12: “These rumours are pleasing and they represent a sign of the good work I’m doing. However, my focus is only on Udinese where I’m doing well and on the ten games that await us between now and the end of the season.”
