Mazzara: Fans ‘no longer interested’ in ‘accounts’ and await January signals

Today, AC Milan prepared to release their second consecutive profitable year, but fans are less bothered about these sheets and more focused on results.

Things are Milan are quite negative currently. At present, the biggest fan groups are all united in their feelings towards the club, and the general fanbase also echoes these sentiments. Generally, there is discontent towards the management of the club, and for one defining reason.

In recent years, there has been a heavy focus on running the club in a sustainable method, as opposed to focusing on being competitive in the league, and fans are fed up with this method of operating. For a club like the Rossoneri, expectations are to compete at the top end of the league, and failing to do so is not made better by profitability.

For this reason, Pietro Mazzara writes that without on-field success, there are no commercial successes. Ultimately it looks to many that a competitive edge is not sought due to a lack of ambition, all for the sake of publishing accounts. However, if the Diavolo realise they are in ‘a constant fight for the top four’ rather than anything more, then perhaps, change could be in store, so January is vital.
