Mediaset: Milan remain in Samardzic sweepstakes but price could hit €30m

AC Milan are in the race to sign Lazar Samardzic from Udinese but face competition from a number of rivals, according to a report.

According to what Claudio Raimondi is reporting on SportMediaset (via MilanNews), Milan remain in the running to sign Samardzic who had an impressive debut season with Udinese after his arrival from RB Leipzig last summer.

However, Napoli, Juventus and Lazio are also keen on the 210-year-old and therefore an auction could soon begin for the Serbian which could increase his price.

If before he would have cost €20m, with all these suitors the Friulian club could ask even for €30m in order to sell Samardzic.

Samardzic played 39 games for Udinese last season across all competitions, amassing five goals and four assists playing mostly in a box-to-box midfield role. He can also function as a No.10, which might allow a smoother transition between the 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1.
