The Rossoneri were linked with an ambitious move for Modric earlier in the summer.
It emerged that the club’s leadership are in the market for a top class midfielder to help Marco Giampaolo implement his favoured 4-3-1-2 system.
Rumours then went quiet, however in the past week the speculation surrounding a move for the current Ballon d’Or holder has start up once again.
Indeed, earlier on Wednesday it was claimed that Modric is considered a ‘dream signing’ but that the situation is being closely monitored.
Now, SportMediaset provide an exciting update on the situation by claiming that Milan are preparing a three-year contract for the Croatian worth €7.5m-a-year per season.
They add that Florentino Perez has set an asking price of €20million, but it remains to be seen whether Modric would take a pay cut of over 30 per cent to join his boyhood club.
