Milan were heavily linked with a move for Depay when he was at Lyon and his contract was due to expire, but he chose to link up with compatriot Ronald Koeman at Barcelona instead. Koeman has since been sacked and Xavi is now in charge, with Depay seeing his minutes decrease as a result, especially after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s arrival.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) reports that in view of the summer transfer market an old target for the attack could be back in fashion for Milan, as the former PSV Eindhoven man has been followed for a long time and may become available.

Milan might choose to freshen up their attacking department with a low-cost reinforcement and Depay – given his versatility and his experience – could well fit the bill.
